The Christchurch City Council will pay 50-70% of the costs for the installation of a Hungry Tiger recycling system into Schools and Preschools. These worm farms are much easier to run than you may think, and can recycle significant volumes of waste.

Schools and Preschools are a perfect place to start hands-on learning, where kids can see worms in action and recycling becomes a natural part of a daily routine. The parents can also watch safely at a distance, and hopefully see how easy it is - They might even try recycling organic waste at home.

We have Hungry Tiger Worm Farms in over 80 preschools and 25 primary and secondary schools throughout Christchurch.

Schools, Preschools and Community Gardens can also host talks on composting for free!

If you would like more information on the Worm Farm Subsidy, please read this document (from the council) and this document (explaining in more detail about worm farms in schools and the subsidy). Feel free to contact us anytime!

Schools, Preschools and Community Gardens can also host talks on composting for free!

See workshops for more information. All you have to do is gather the people and provide the space for the talk, and we'll bring all the information and demonstration materials. It's FREE!

There are no lengthy waiting periods, or applications to fill out. Simply contact Earthly Delights for more information to get the ball rolling.
